Teachers Guide: Ultimate Study Skills Workbook for Senior Students
This course supports the internal rollout of study skills using the Ultimate Study Workbook for Senior Cycle Students. The online course provides PowerPoint presentations designed to facilitate class discussions on study skills. These resources can be delivered flexibly, depending on school capacity and needs.
Teacher training is also provided through live webinars. Completion of the training and implementation of the course is accredited for 16 hours of CPD for delivery, teacher study and preparation.
Access to the course and resources requires an annual subscription.

This programme can be run alongside our Senior Cycle Study Skills Workshop, or the supporting teacher’s manual can be used to facilitate an internal rollout of the programme.
The online course is designed to continue the conversation about the importance of study skills after completing the workshop and throughout the year.
It provides short training modules to ensure staff are up-to-date on best practices in relation to study skills. The course also includes classroom materials to make discussions about study skills easier for teaching and guidance staff.

Grainne Mulcahy & Ciara Connolly
The content was created by Dr Gráinne Mulcahy and Ciara Connolly. Dr Mulcahy is a full-time teacher, and she has worked on the in-service provision team with Junior Cycle for Teachers. After 30 years of teaching, she took on a Doctorate in Education with TCD. Her research focuses on Junior Cycle, with a particular interest in learning and assessment.
With a background in psychology and as a qualified psychotherapist, Ciara has taken part in research focused on enhancing the emotional wellbeing and safeguarding behaviours of second-level students in Ireland. She has worked one-on-one with students, addressing challenges such as study skills, school-related stress, relationships, mental health, and exam pressure. Passionate about student development,
